Today we fond out that we couldn't bring him home until Monday. We just played with him today.
But THREE more days until we get him (unless it chages again)
Yesterday we went to the orphanage in the morning and then shopping in the afternoon. We bought the rest of the Christmas presents for our friends and family. It was fun!
God has a plan that you are not able to bring Beck home until Monday. These 'delays' are giving Beck more time to adjust to his new family where he is comfortable and secure. Just think what a shock it would have been for him if you could have taken him from his home in Ethiopia to winter in Hayward right away! This is a blessing for Beck, and it gives the rest of you enough time to really get to know the world that Beck has been living in his first 4 years.
Yes. What Dan said. There has to be at least a 100 degree difference which will mean Beck's blood will need to thicken up so he won't be so cold here. I pray that he will love the snow because you girls will show him how much fun it is to make snowmen, snowballs and snow angels. Maybe you will even show him how to ice fish??? I love the pictures of you three. It truly looks like he is a very happy little boy who loves his sisters already. And, there is no doubt that you love him very much. Enjoy your days there with him. You'll be back here before we know it.
You guys have come so far so a few more days hopefully will go by fast for you until you actually get to take Beck with you. We are praying that whatever things are holding the process up will be resolved soon. The pictures you sent are so fun to see. Thanks for keeping us posted Sidney!
